Apparently, the career journey of Dr. Gail Weingast wasn’t mapped out for her at the absolute beginning. Perhaps she wasn’t driven to medicine as a calling when she was just a young girl. After all, she started it all by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Jackson College, Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts way back in 1969, so it wasn’t exactly clear where she would go from there. It couldn’t have taken long to decide on a medical career, though, because she attended the Boston University School of Medicine and she officially became Dr. Gail Weingast, MD in 1976. Clearly, her destination had been chosen by then.
