Soon after she completed her graduate and medical education at several hospitals in Denver, Dr. Gail Weingast worked at several additional hospitals in Colorado and also in New York, before she settled into her current hospital, William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She has been there for more than two decades now, and in that time, she has been able to guide her radiology department into its current position as one of the premiere medical facilities in the region.
These days, with her more than four decades of knowledge and experience behind her so far, Dr. Gail Weingast is a highly regarded radiology specialist at Backus Hospital. She is now the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging, although her path to her current important position wasn’t always a straight line. No matter what, though, she values every aspect of her educational and career journey because it has all contributed to make her the radiologist she is today.
